About
Hi, I’m Amy, the founder of Amy Avenue and a proud mom of twin boys with special needs. For the past 19 years, I’ve dedicated my career to caring for children and families as a pediatric nurse, working both in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and in serving in the public health realm as a school nurse.
Through my work and my personal journey as a parent, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging it can be for families to manage the daily demands of medical care—especially something as simple, yet vital, as getting to and from appointments. Between coordinating therapies, medical visits, and school schedules, transportation can often become one of the biggest barriers to care.
That’s why I founded Amy Avenue—a nonprofit created to support families by providing reliable transportation assistance for children with medical and developmental needs. My goal is to help lighten that load, so parents can focus on what matters most: their children’s health and well-being.
At Amy Avenue, we believe that every family deserves access to the care their children need—without the added stress of figuring out how to get there.
Thank you for being here and supporting our mission. Together, we can make the road to care a little smoother for families everywhere.
